📍 Situation #

At the Technical Center, noise was detected from the metering motor during motor On operation of the TE220A5 machine.

🔍 Root Cause #

Unlike other axes (injection, clamping, extruder) using EnDat encoders, the metering axis utilizes a resolver-type encoder, which has lower resolution.
This low resolution causes vibration due to poor position and speed estimation, leading to motor noise.

⚙️ Solution #

By adjusting the parameter:

Speed Filter (P4997[0] : axis2.CON_SCALC_Tf) = 2 ms

vibration was reduced and the noise was effectively suppressed.
